Description of SUSI Exchange Program
SUSI stands for ‘Study of the US Institutes’. It’s basically an intensive short-term exchange program for undergraduate student leaders interested in the topic of Comparative Public Policymaking.
The aim of this exchange program is to enhance the leadership skills of these participating students and provide them with a deeper understanding of the United States. The program consists of various activities such as lectures, seminars, group discussions, site visits, volunteer opportunities, educational travel, presentations, etc.

Eligibility Criteria of SUSI Exchange Program
Candidates should fulfill the following eligibility criteria before applying for SUSI Exchange Program.
- Must be proficient in English Language.
- Must be between 18 – 25 years of age.
- Must have at least one semester in their undergrad studies.
- Must be committed to returning back to their home countries after the program is completed.
- Should have excellent academic background/record.
- Should have an interest in public policy making and demonstrate strong leadership qualities.
- Should be active in community and extracurricular activities.
- Should be willing to participate in the different intensive activities of the program.
Financial Coverage of SUSI Exchange Program
As mentioned earlier, SUSI Exchange Program is a fully-funded exchange opportunity for undergraduate students. United States Government will cover all costs of the participants including:
- Round airfare
- visa fee
- program administration costs
- accommodation and living expenses
- field trips
- health insurance
- travel allowances
How to Apply for SUSI Exchange Program?
To apply for SUSI Exchange Program, you’ll need to complete an application form. The application form is pretty simple and easy to fill.
Once you complete the application form, submit it to PakistanExchangePrograms@state.gov latest by 5:00 pm on Friday, October 28, 2022.
