Eligibility Criteria
Knight Hennessy Scholarship is for students of all countries regardless of their age, college or university, field of study, or career aspirations. There’re no such restrictions whatsoever. However, the scholarship program has two baseline eligibility requirements that are given below:
1. Admission at Stanford University
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must apply to, be accepted by, and enroll in a full-time graduate degree program at Stanford University. The program can be either an MA, MS, DMA, JD, MBA, MD, MFA, MPP, or a PhD.
There are no quotas by discipline, program, or department. The scholarships are awarded fairly on merit basis with priority to those who spends at least two years at the Stanford University.
2. Date of Undergraduate Degree
The second requirement is that you must have earned a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in January 2016 for or later from a college or university of recognized status. This one’s for the 2023 cohort. Similarly, for the 2024 cohort, you must have earned the degree in January 2017 or later.
Applicants who have served in the military after their undergrad are given a further extension by two years. This means they should have earned their degrees in January 2014 or later for the 2023 cohort.
If your undergraduate degree is still in progress but you expect to graduate by September 2023, you’re also eligible to apply.

Financial Coverage
As mentioned earlier, Knight Hennessy Scholarship is a fully-funded one that covers almost all of your expenses. The financial coverage includes:

To apply for the scholarship, you’ll need to submit two applications on their online admission portal. One for admission at your target graduate program and the other for KHS Scholarship. The application procedure is given step-by-step as follow:
Step 1: Create your two applications as early as you can. You don’t necessarily need to complete your applications at once though; you can save your progress and return to complete the remaining at your convenience. However, you should keep in mind the deadline.
Step 2: Enter the information of the two persons who’ll be giving you the recommendation letters. You should do this as early as you can to allow your recommenders enough time for submission of their letters.
Step 3: Complete your basic and personal information sections as well as the essays and personal statements. Make sure to save your progress and take ample time while putting any information.
Step 4: Submit the online applications within respective deadlines. You won’t be able to edit your KHS application once you submit it. So you should fill all the info with utmost care.
Step 5: If your graduate program requires test scores and you receive them after submitting your KHS application, you can update the test scores through your application status page.
